One of the most beautiful and famous resorts in Bulgaria is Pamporovo.

It is 220 km away from Sofia, 80 km away from Plovdiv and 11 km away from Smolyan. The resort is at the foot of Snejanka peak, 1926 m high, where there is a 156 m high TV tower. The total length of the ski tracks is over 18 km. The tracks are suitable both for complete beginners and professionals. The snow cover stays for over 120 of the year and the sunny days are almost 270.

Pamporovo is an attractive place for tourism in summer, too. The clear mountain air and the age-old coniferous forests are the ideal cool place in the hot summer. The swimming pools, tennis courts, rehabilitation centers, bow shooting and mountain bicycling are only a part of the services offered at Pamporovo.

Building of the new winter sports & tourist center of Perelik near Pamporovo is forthcoming. Investments in the amount of about GBP 90 million are planned. The resort will include ski tracks with total length of 55 km, skiing facilities, artificial snow facilities, 24 lift lines and catering establishments at the tracks, ski cloakrooms, parking lots and places for recreation and entertainment.

The resort will be suitable for summer tourism, mountain bicycling, golf, tennis and swimming, too. The snow cover on Perelik stays for almost 180 days of the year.
In the vicinity of these two mountain resorts a luxury apartments complex is under construction.
